Yukon's Oklahoma Czech Festival turns 60 this fall, with celebrations Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3. For families deciding which day to visit, Friday brings the Pivo Garden and carnival, while Saturday adds the Main Street parade, food, music and dancing.

The festival organizer's 2026 announcement gives the outline below. Its detailed program and map links still point to 2025, so last year's carnival hours and prices shouldn't be used to plan this year's visit.

Friday, Oct. 2

The Pivo Garden and carnival open the weekend in downtown Yukon on Friday night. Exact Friday hours aren't listed in the organizer's 2026 announcement yet.

Saturday, Oct. 3

Activities begin at 8 a.m., followed by the 10 a.m. parade on Main Street, running from Garth Brooks Boulevard to 3rd Street. That's the stretch of historic Route 66 through downtown Yukon.

After the parade, the Oklahoma Czech building at 25 N. 5th St. is a useful landmark for finding the food and entertainment. The organizer lists polka bands, Czech and Slovak folk dancing and singing, kolaches, sausage sandwiches, arts and crafts vendors, and carnival rides among the day's activities.

The 2026-27 Oklahoma Czech-Slovak royalty crowning is scheduled for 4 p.m. The evening Royalty Coronation Ball takes place at Yukon Czech Hall, 205 N. Czech Hall Road, with the Masopust and Bohemian Knights bands. The hall is a separate destination from the downtown festival building.

Parking and the details still to come

A current parking map, street-closure schedule, carnival prices and full performance timetable weren't available in the organizer pages checked Sept. 18. Those details matter if you're choosing a parking spot, bringing a stroller or planning around one performance. The official festival website is the place to check for the updated 2026 program before heading downtown.
